Crunchfish is proud to announce the next generation of its rewarded Touchless A3D® software, now optimized for VR and with gestures specifically designed for VR interaction. With its advanced motion-tracking it works nicely on any VR device with a camera.

Crunchfish gesture control software for VR adds a new dimension to the experience by empowering users to interact with their favourite videos using gestures. As demonstrated in this video, users activate the video control menu with a Pinch Pose instead of having to use e.g. a Bluetooth controller or take off the headset. The result is a VR interaction experience that is intuitive and really easy to use.

“Touchless gesture interaction is the natural way to control VR headsets. With VR content exploding on the market there is a need for gestures in most future devices. We are proud to offer a world class gesture solution to our customers for navigation and control of VR content”, says Joakim Nydemark, CEO, Crunchfish.

Any Augmented and Virtual Reality application can be incorporated with Crunchfish Touchless A3D® technology without specific hardware pre-requirements.

Malmö September 5, 2016 – Crunchfish AB proudly announces that Vodafone uses Touchless A3D® for touchless gesture control in the Smart platinum 7, Vodafone’s new flagship smartphone in the premium segment.

When designing the Smart platinum 7, Vodafone wanted a smartphone with the latest mobile technology. The focus is on powerful hardware and premium design as well as high quality camera features. For perfect selfies the camera has a gesture-controlled shutter powered by Touchless A3D® from Crunchfish, making photo capturing easy for all selfie enthusiasts.

“We are pleased to have Vodafone among the companies who uses Crunchfish for gesture control and excited to notice that operators now start to require touchless features. Large brands like Lenovo and Gionee are already using our technology, giving their users a premium quality photo experience.”, says Joakim Nydemark, CEO, Crunchfish.

With gesture control from Crunchfish you can take a photo from several meters away just by raising your hand. It means that you can take a group photo from a comfortable position without fumbling for the shutter button and at the same time trying to keep everyone in view.
