Swedish software company Crunchfish is bringing its touchless gesture control to San Francisco-based ODG’s industry-leading Mixed Reality devices.

Nasdaq First North-listed Crunchfish announced today its leading camera-based touchless solution software is now compatible with ODG’s portfolio of smart glasses, making its SDK available to ODG users and developers interested in exploring touchless gesture control as part of their ODG smart glasses solution.

ODG is a leading developer and manufacturer of Mixed Reality smart glasses. ODG has several models of smart glasses optimized for different use cases and environments, including its award-winning R-7 and R-7HL enterprise-focused devices currently available for purchase. ODG’s devices work with a variety of input methods. The latest gesture control technology from Crunchfish offers users an extension of those existing input capabilities and can help reduce dependency on touchpads and buttons. Gesture control can be helpful in many types of interactions, including for instance situations where a user is swiping through instructions, answering or rejecting incoming calls or messages, starting or stopping a video, or zooming in to or out from objects.

ODG provides several high-end, high-performance smart glasses each optimized for their specific end user, whether it be a maintenance worker in heavy industries such as oil and gas or a creative worker like an architect or industrial designer, and we are delighted to make our latest gesture control software compatible with their offerings,” says Joakim Nydemark, CEO at Crunchfish. “Gestures is a natural and convenient way to interact with AR smart glasses in industrial as well as consumer scenarios and we are excited to offer a leading solution that will help to support the growing global market for AR-solutions.”

As a collaboration partner we look forward to hosting the Crunchfish SDK on our website and welcome the Crunchfish capability and team to the ODG family,” said Bobby King, VP, Special Projects at ODG. “We look forward to working with them to further the capability and adoption of our product.”
