Crunchfish and ClearOn, the market leader in coupons and payment services in the Swedish trade, initiate collaboration to offer new opportunities to create more sales with mobile coupons that are activated when the customer approaches the product in the shelf. The solution is made possible by Crunchfish’s patented proximity-based interaction technology and ClearOn’s innovative clearing system, used in more than 20,000 cash registers in approximately 6,000 food, service and traffic stores.

The solution enables a new way to manage coupons in the mobile phone. Without the user interacting with the phone, coupons can be activated at the shelf and seamlessly redeemed at checkout with automatic deduction of the discounts on the receipt. Another possibility is for customers to receive offers that are relevant to them and activate their coupons before they go shopping. In the store, the solution reminds customers to buy the products when they are near them at the store shelf.
