Crunchfish’s and ClearOn’s launch of smart mobile coupons at Innoday in Stockholm was a success. Over 700 decision makers from leading trade players and brands were present. A lot of people wanted to see how the solution works and Crunchfish’s staff was busy showing the demo app. Transforming the traditional discount coupon into a digital equivalent in the mobile phone was a new experience for the visitors.

How to handle mobile coupons

Mobile coupons can be received in the app from a merchant or brand, downloaded by scanning QR codes, or in the store from a product shelf. During shopping the app sends reminders close to products as well as before checkout to remind the customer to pick up the products and to use the coupons. At checkout, the coupons are redeemed by blipping the phone and the discount is automatically deducted from the sum total.
