Malmö February 23, 2016 – Crunchfish AB is pleased to announce that Touchless A3D® – its leading gesture control software – now supports Intel® RealSense™ cameras. As leading middleware and applications provider for touchless, Crunchfish is expanding into 3D cameras and now making their gesture control technology available with the Intel RealSense world facing camera for the first time.

The addition of Intel® RealSense™ camera support into Touchless A3D® and corresponding use of the raw 3D data will improve accuracy, minimize false positives and add new features when combined with Intel RealSense technology. The result is increased reliability for the user interaction in all 3 dimensions. Gesture control, touchless software supporting 3D cameras is important for a number of products and applications, including PCs and even Smart TVs which are now used as IoT hubs in the home. With touchless gestures one will conveniently be able to control connected devices and applications through the Smart TV.

“The market is demanding touchless. We have good traction in winning new customers and projects for our software. By providing full support for Intel RealSense cameras, we will expand the market for gesture control. Through our collaboration with Intel we can provide gesture control software that truly creates an intuitive interaction for e.g. Smart TV’s.“ says Joakim Nydemark, CEO, Crunchfish.

“The Intel RealSense Camera delivers amazing gesture control benefits as demonstrated by Touchless A3D software integration. Crunchfish use of Intel RealSense Technology in Smart TV’s paves the way for continued smart home innovation which will delight customers,” says Roger Chandler, Director of Business Planning and Innovation, Software and Solutions Group, Intel Corporation.
