Malmö February 2, 2016 – Crunchfish AB today announced that Touchless A3D® is integrated in OPPO’s new F series smartphones to empower users with gesture control.

The first product in the F series is OPPO F1 – the Selfie Expert – that is designed to provide a premium quality photo experience with the Palm shutter. Enabled with gesture recognition technology, users are able to capture photos using gestures. By simply raising a hand in front of the camera the shutter release is activated. Gesture control together with the high-resolution front camera and a great selection of filters and features makes the F1 the perfect device for today’s selfie generation.

“Crunchfish provides an innovative and reliable touchless technology in combination with profound expertise in the industry. This made it natural for us to select Crunchfish as partner for enhancing the photo capture experience in our new imaging centric F series” said Sky Li, Vice President of OPPO and Managing Director of International Mobile Business at OPPO.

Dubbed the “Selfie Expert,” the OPPO F1 features a standout 8 MP front-facing camera, a sophisticated photography platform, and powerful software specially designed to make capturing stunning selfies a breeze, all backed by OPPO’s spectacular build quality and design. The F1 also sports a back panel that undergoes roughly 40 polishing procedures to give it a texture like “metal silk”.

“We are very pleased to work with OPPO to enable touchless features in the new OPPO F1. OPPO’s focus on quality and performance in combination with Touchless A3D® makes the Selfie Expert to the ultimate device for any photo capture” said Joakim Nydemark, CEO of Crunchfish AB.

First launched in India on January 28, the F1 is gearing up to launch in about 20 countries around the world, including markets in Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa. And now it is also available for European and North America customers at:oppostyle.com.
